Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Test Engineer to join our team at Staffing Technologies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our custom designed servers and server components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate the performance of server electronics, mechanicals, and user documentation against Application Deployment Requirements (ADR), Marketing Requirements Document (MRD), and/or Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Develop and execute test strategies for the qualification of server components, including disk drives, peripheral cards, processors, and memory.
  • Release components for use in new and existing designs, creating documentation as required.
  • Manage new product introduction and existing product changes using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.
  • Support the validation and documentation of prototype platforms for use by customers in early-stage evaluations and provision systems for functional regulatory lab tests.
  • Perform level 3 failure analysis to determine root cause on field returns and manufacturing yield issues, working directly with suppliers when required.
  • Collaborate with quality engineers, manufacturing engineers, and production personnel to address product issues.
  • Generate accurate and thorough test plans, documenting project progress and working independently as well as on a team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent, plus 3-5 years direct industry experience.
  • Associate's degree in engineering or equivalent, plus 8-10 years direct industry experience.
  • Proficient in use of MS office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio, and Project.
  • Ability to coordinate with a team of engineers to create, execute, and review appropriate test strategies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of Windows and Linux OS operating in a server environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the use of standardized computer server test software.
  • Experience in the debug of electrical systems comprised of high-speed digital and analog power subsystems.
  • Knowledge of PC-based server systems, their architectures, and the various peripheral components.
  • Ability to generate accurate and thorough test plans.
  • Ability to understand basic thermal analysis of electronics.
  • Ability to understand basic electrical principles.
  • Ability to document, track, and document project progress and work independently as well as on a team.
  • Ability to follow all applicable Business Management System (BMS) processes.

Working Environment:

The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional exposure to noise from equipment and machinery.
