Job Summary:

Ryan Companies US is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Vice President of Capital Markets. This key leadership position is responsible for raising private capital from high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and other non-institutional sources focused on direct investment in real estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement Ryan's private capital strategy, driving business growth and expansion.
  • Work closely with the asset management team to advance reporting capabilities for private capital investors, ensuring transparency and trust.
  • Raise private equity LP capital for Ryan developments and/or acquired properties, leveraging relationships and market expertise.
  • Selectively raise private equity GP capital for large Ryan developments and/or acquired properties, identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Develop a business development plan to identify potential new private capital investors, fostering relationships and partnerships.
  • Formulate and execute on Ryan-sponsored investor conferences and retreats, providing a platform for networking and deal-making.
  • Oversee relationships with brokers, attorneys, accountants, and other resources to grow Ryan's private capital relationships, ensuring a strong network.
  • Collaborate with other business lines, including asset management, development, legal, marketing, and accounting, to drive business success.
  • Implement and maintain a department capital plan, including assigned capital providers and incorporation of new capital providers, ensuring a robust capital structure.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, with a strong focus on finance, business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years' experience in real estate capital raising and capital markets with real estate developers, operators, private equity firms, investment managers, and/or placement agents, demonstrating expertise and knowledge.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience with commercial real estate as an investable asset class, showcasing a deep understanding of the market.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Real Estate, providing advanced knowledge and skills.
  • Proven track record of success in capital raising and capital markets, with a history of driving business growth and expansion.
