Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in executing the Program's Budget by developing and maintaining financial plans, requisitions, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate financial information with relevant Government officials, including Business Financial Managers and Program Managers.
  • Support the upkeep of resources necessary for daily operational activities.
  • Facilitate the validation and completion of Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs).
  • Aid Government Business Contract Management Offices in conducting year-end activities and completing actual data requests.
  • Input requisitions into the agency's financial management system, ensuring all required details are included.
  • Prepare and process Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPR) and Economy Act Orders (EAO) within the financial management system.
  • Monitor requisitions through the approval process and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
  • Generate financial reports and data from various agency systems.
  • Assist in monitoring budget expenditures and compliance with financial codes.
  • Provide financial status updates to Government Program and Business Management Offices, highlighting funding sources and identifying potential shortfalls.
  • Prepare briefing materials for financial reviews.
  • Support the Government Program Managers with data for budgeting and financial planning.

Qualifications:

A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in DoD, IC, or a combination of DoD, IC, and commercial sectors in finance or purchasing, along with a Bachelor's Degree focused on business, is required. Candidates should have experience in budget planning, preparation, and execution for acquisition programs. Familiarity with the agency's financial management systems is preferred. In lieu of a degree, relevant certifications such as PMP, CDFM, or DAWIA Level I in Business/Financial Management, combined with related experience, may be accepted. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
