Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the Program's Budget by developing and maintaining spending plans, requisitions, and relevant documentation.
- Coordinate financial information with key Government officials, including Business Financial Managers and Program Managers.
- Support the upkeep of resources essential for daily operational activities.
- Validate and complete Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs).
- Assist Government Contract Management Offices with year-end processes and data submissions.
- Input requisitions into the financial management system, ensuring all required details are included.
- Prepare and process Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPR) and Economy Act Orders (EAO) within the financial management system.
- Manage incoming MIPRs and EAOs to ensure proper acceptance by the Agency.
- Create and update spending plans in the financial management system to align with Government requirements.
- Modify requisitions and documentation in accordance with Contracting guidance to facilitate fund obligations.
- Support Government Program Managers in tracking requirements through execution by monitoring requisitions through approval processes.
- Extract financial reports and data from Agency systems.
- Utilize established financial management policies and tools.
- Assist in monitoring proper usage of financial codes and responding to financial inquiries.
- Help track expenses against budgets and provide financial status reports to Government offices.
- Prepare materials for financial reviews and assist in budget planning and variance identification.
Qualifications:
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in DoD, IC, or a combination of ten (10) years in purchasing or finance, along with a Bachelor's Degree focused on business, is required. Experience in preparing reports reflecting program status in cost, schedule, and performance is essential. Familiarity with budget planning and execution for acquisition programs is necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formula creation and pivot tables, is required, as well as proficiency in PowerPoint.
