Financial Operations Specialist

Blackwood Associates Inc is seeking a Financial Operations Specialist to oversee essential financial tasks and responsibilities. This position focuses on managing invoicing processes, approving expense claims, ensuring the accuracy of billing, and supervising financial transactions associated with invoicing and expenditures. The Financial Operations Specialist will report directly to the Corporate Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the prompt distribution of invoices across various platforms
  • Conduct internal audits to confirm billing precision
  • Update client accounts with payment details and contact information
  • Address and resolve customer billing inquiries and discrepancies
  • Generate financial reports pertaining to accounts receivable
  • Examine expense reports for adherence to company policies
  • Assist in monthly closing reconciliations
  • Support Accounts Payable and Collections as needed
  • Contribute to additional accounting and finance projects as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, ideally in technology or public accounting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities
  • Operate with high ethical standards and integrity
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
  • Experience with expense reporting systems
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with CRM and tax software is advantageous
