Position Title: Windows Systems Architect

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)

Role Duration: 12+ Months

We are in search of a proficient Windows Systems Architect with expertise in Active Directory Management and SharePoint Administration. The selected candidate will be responsible for devising strategies for IT infrastructure and overseeing engineering projects within the Database/Applications domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for server installations, upgrades, and routine maintenance in line with established IT policies.
  • Manage Active Directory, including user and group account administration, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee SharePoint site design and development, providing support to end-users for content management.
  • Act as the primary contact for critical server outages, communicating status updates to management.
  • Monitor system performance and provide detailed reports and statistics.
  • Define backup and recovery procedures, contributing to business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
  • Respond to Service Desk tickets in a timely manner, adhering to service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure server reliability and scalability.
  • Provide off-hours support through a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience with a minimum of 10 years in a technical role.
  • At least 6 years of experience supporting server environments.
  • Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems (2012, 2016, 2019) and VMware technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP technologies.
  • Experience in designing and implementing Microsoft Windows Network Infrastructure.
  • Proficient in ASP.NET, SQL Server, and application development.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerShell and server monitoring tools.
  • Experience with SharePoint implementation and site maintenance.

This role requires a strong customer service orientation, attention to detail, and the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
