Koniag Data Solutions, a subsidiary of Koniag Government Services, is in search of a Lead Systems Architect with a TS/SCI Clearance to assist in supporting our government clientele in Washington, DC. This role is associated with a Future New Business Opportunity.

Koniag Data Solutions is eager to welcome a Lead Systems Architect to our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience in deploying, configuring, and maintaining domain infrastructure within a Windows environment. This individual should possess comprehensive knowledge and experience with Active Directory, multi-forest multi-domain configurations, and the setup of Flexible Single Master Operations (FSMO) roles. Additionally, familiarity with federated identities utilizing Azure AD, Azure AD Sync, and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) is essential. This role will require managing systems at scale through Group Policy and PowerShell.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of domain infrastructure in a Windows environment.
  • Engage with Active Directory, multi-forest multi-domain configurations, and manage systems at scale utilizing Group Policy and PowerShell.
  • Work with federated identities using Azure AD, Azure AD Sync, and ADFS.
  • Oversee the deployment and support of domain infrastructure in a Windows environment.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • At least 10 years of experience in systems engineering.
  • Experience with Windows Server in an enterprise setting.
  • Experience in deploying services within Microsoft Azure and VMware environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server.
  • Experience in project leadership.
  • Proven success in leading the deployment of enterprise-class solutions.
  • Ability to produce technical documentation and engineering diagrams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • TS/SCI Clearance is mandatory.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with federated identities using SAML and OAuth2.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE.
  • Experience managing systems at scale.
  • Familiarity with Azure AD, Azure AD Sync, and ADFS.
  • Understanding of Group Policy and PowerShell.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office setting with a noise level that is generally low to moderate. The role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office role, and requires the incumbent to stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally. The workload may necessitate prolonged periods of sitting. The incumbent must be capable of reading, performing basic mathematical calculations, and managing moderate levels of stress.

The incumbent may occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
