Position Title: Windows Systems Architect

Overview: We are looking for a skilled Windows Systems Architect with expertise in Active Directory and SharePoint Administration to enhance our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for IT infrastructure and oversee engineering projects.
  • Provide administrative support for Windows Servers, SharePoint Sites, and Active Directory Management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve daily operational issues, including code promotions and incident management.
  • Address search and indexing challenges, and resolve site access problems.
  • Conduct detailed analyses and offer recommendations for optimization and maintenance of critical systems.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute server installations, upgrades, and routine maintenance in line with IT policies.

Active Directory Management:

  • Administer user and group accounts.
  • Manage endpoint devices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

SharePoint Administration:

  • Design and develop SharePoint sites, pages, and workflows.
  • Support end-users in maintaining content and assist site owners with development.
  • Create wireframes and mockups for client presentations.
  • Facilitate data integrity during the migration to SharePoint Online.

Additional Duties:

  • Serve as the primary contact for critical server outages and communicate status updates.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation.
  • Monitor system performance and provide statistical reports.
  • Define and execute server backup and recovery procedures.
  • Respond to Service Desk tickets and escalations in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure server availability and reliability.
  • Provide off-hours support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical role supporting server environments.
  • Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems and VMware technologies.
  • Experience with Active Directory management and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of DNS, GPOs, and server monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint implementation and site maintenance.

Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail and customer service orientation.
  • Proficient in programming languages and Microsoft PowerShell.
  • Understanding of APIs and web services.

This role requires a dedicated professional capable of navigating complex IT environments and delivering effective solutions.
