Position Summary

Network Designs Inc. is in search of a seasoned Microsoft Windows Infrastructure Specialist to enhance our IT team. This role is pivotal in overseeing, implementing, and safeguarding Windows-based server and desktop systems. A robust understanding of multiple Windows Server versions, along with Windows 10 and 11 Enterprise, is vital, as well as familiarity with a variety of Microsoft products and services, particularly in cloud and hybrid settings. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022) and Windows desktop systems (10, 11).
  • Utilize advanced features of Windows Server, including Clustering, and support Microsoft SQL database servers.
  • Configure and manage Group Policy Objects (GPO) to meet both functional and security needs, including DISA STIG compliance.
  • Oversee Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) for efficient management of Windows OS builds and security updates.
  • Manage user identities and access through Active Directory, Entra ID, GPO, Intune, and Windows PKI.
  • Employ automation tools, including advanced Microsoft PowerShell scripting, to streamline processes.
  • Develop automated solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Power Platform, integrating seamlessly with Microsoft 365 and Azure services.
  • Leverage Microsoft 365 for enhanced productivity and collaboration while maintaining stringent security standards.
  • Utilize Microsoft Azure for scalable application development and deployment, including HPC, SQL Azure, AI, and analytics.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting and problem resolution for complex IT environments.
  • Stay abreast of the latest Microsoft technologies and best practices, applying them effectively within the organization.
  • Document system configurations and procedures to maintain a comprehensive IT knowledge base.
  • Mentor and train technical staff and end-users to maximize their proficiency with Windows and Microsoft technologies.
  • Operate within a high-availability VMware environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including over 8 years as a Subject Matter Expert in enterprise-scale Windows environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022) and Windows 10 and 11 Enterprise, including GPOs and security configurations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure AD/Entra ID, Windows PKI, Clustering, SQL Server, and Networking.
  • Possession of at least one recognized security certification, such as CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
  • Familiarity with Cisco UCS compute, UCS Manager, and Intersight.
  • Experience with modern NetApp storage solutions.
  • Knowledge of VMware vCenter, ESXi, and SRM.
  • Linux server management experience, particularly with Oracle Linux or other Red Hat distributions.
