What are we seeking in our Supply Chain Operations Leader?

Russell Tobin & Associates is currently looking for a Supply Chain Operations Leader in the pharmaceutical sector.

This role serves as a vital link among Production Planning, Site Scheduling, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and suppliers. The individual will be tasked with harmonizing the operational capabilities and demands of the site while collaborating closely with the Head of Planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute transactions related to order processing, including managing sales and purchase orders, order modifications, material receipt, and returns in partnership with procurement.
  • Proactively communicate with Supply Chain stakeholders if delivery timelines are at risk of being unmet.
  • Review daily MRP exception alerts and take necessary actions to ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Engage in projects and process enhancements for supply chain and cross-functional initiatives to meet business objectives.
  • Facilitate planning discussions with suppliers to assess forecasts and capacity to ensure requirements are met.
  • Provide planning assumptions to Supply Planners to accurately reflect capabilities in the Planning system.
  • Participate in direct material category teams and support strategic initiatives such as sourcing changes, strategic purchases, cost-saving measures, lead-time reductions, lifecycle management, SKU rationalization, supply chain optimization, and waste minimization.
  • Collaborate with Master Production Planners, Site Schedulers, Warehouse, Procurement, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Suppliers to address supply challenges and ensure timely availability of materials for operations.
  • Oversee scheduling and forecasting activities.
  • Manage and direct production scheduling and planning for assigned materials based on forecasts and supplier capabilities.
  • Support procurement in maintaining compliance with overall contractual obligations related to the supply chain.
  • Establish Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ) in collaboration with Supply Chain stakeholders and suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Category Management within the pharmaceutical or related industries.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt).
  • Experience in Project Management.
