What are we seeking in our Supply Chain Manager?

Russell Tobin & Associates is looking for a Supply Chain Manager within the pharmaceutical sector.

This role serves as a vital link among Production Planning, Site Scheduling, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and suppliers. The Supply Chain Manager is tasked with aligning the operational capacity of the site with its requirements while working under the guidance of the Head of Planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute transactions related to order processing, including managing sales and purchase orders, order modifications, material receipt, and returns in collaboration with procurement.
  • Deliver timely updates to Supply Chain stakeholders if delivery lead times are at risk of being unmet.
  • Review daily MRP exception messages and take necessary actions to ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Engage in projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain processes and achieving organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate planning meetings with suppliers to assess forecasts and capacity, ensuring alignment with requirements.
  • Provide Supply Planners with planning assumptions to accurately reflect capabilities in the Planning system.
  • Contribute to direct material category teams and support strategic initiatives, including sourcing changes, strategic purchases, savings initiatives, lead-time reductions, life cycle management, SKU rationalization, and supply chain optimization.
  • Collaborate proactively with Master Production Planners, Site Schedulers, Warehouse, Procurement, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Suppliers to address supply issues and ensure timely availability of materials for operations.
  • Oversee scheduling and forecasting.
  • Manage the scheduling and planning of production for assigned materials based on forecasts and supplier capacity.
  • Support procurement efforts to maintain compliance with contractual commitments related to the supply chain.
  • Establish Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ) in partnership with Supply Chain stakeholders and suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Category Management within the pharmaceutical industry or similar sectors.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt).
  • Experience in Project Management.
