Position Overview


As a key member of the engineering team, you will collaborate with automation engineers and project stakeholders to identify and extract essential technical information from diverse sources.

Your role will involve supporting the Engineering Automation team in managing schedules and reporting on project progress.

Responsibilities include organizing and coordinating software lifecycle documentation, creating user accounts, updating the Engineering Automation portal with current information, conducting routine data quality assessments, and providing user support related to automation tools.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to leverage technology for the collection, organization, and presentation of technical data. You will engage with various engineering disciplines in your daily activities.

This is a full-time position operating on a 9/80 schedule, allowing for every other Friday off. Occasional travel may be necessary for project-related meetings.

Future relocation may be required based on evolving business needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • The primary function of the Engineering Automation Specialist is to assist users by granting access or creating user accounts for software and applications managed by Engineering Automation. You will perform regular data quality checks and aid in tracking information, locating documents, and preparing documentation.
  • You will support training initiatives by preparing training materials and presentations.
  • You will assist in the development of change management documentation under the supervision of engineers.
  • Ensure that tasks are completed on schedule while adhering to high-quality standards for nuclear facilities.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will demonstrate leadership, quality, and safety values within your team and across interfacing disciplines.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with up to 1 year of relevant experience
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficient in software applications (MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to collect, organize, and present technical data using relational databases.
  • Technical proficiency in analyzing data within technical documents to identify and classify relevant information for efficient retrieval by project staff.
  • Analytical skills to monitor extensive information and apply effective extraction techniques in response to information requests.
  • Communication skills to collaborate with data analysts, engineers, technical experts, and management.
  • Attention to detail to accurately identify and capture relevant technical information from large documents and datasets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recent university graduate with up to 1 year of work experience
