Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Specialist to enhance our Building Automation Group. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective installation and operation of advanced building management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute checkout, start-up, and testing of BMS DDC controllers across various mechanical systems.
2. Operate within critical environments, including data centers.
3. Develop, test, and commission BMS control programs in accordance with intricate Sequences of Operation.
4. Configure and initiate graphical user interfaces, including BMS servers and control panel touchscreen displays.
5. Provide regular updates and status reports to project leadership.
6. Maintain professional communication with clients and other contractors.
7. Document project progress and assist in the creation of precise close-out documents.
8. Adhere to detailed Method of Procedure (MOP) and Change Management (CM) protocols.
9. Conduct BMS commissioning, including Pre-functional, Functional, and Integrated Systems Testing, both independently and in collaboration with third-party commissioning agents.
10. Perform routine maintenance and servicing of existing BMS systems in active environments.
11. Support multiple concurrent projects across designated regions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME) or Electrical Engineering (EE) is preferred, or an Associate's degree/apprenticeship with equivalent experience, or a minimum of 5 years in the automation/controls sector.
- Proficiency with BACnet and/or Modbus protocols and third-party systems integration.
- Strong grasp of mechanical and electrical systems, complemented by excellent troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
- Familiarity with AutoDesk AutoCAD, MS Visio, and/or Bluebeam Revu is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel locally for project needs.

Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with BAS systems such as Schneider Electric, Siemens, JCI, ALC, Trane, Delta Controls, Distech, Honeywell, or others.
- Experience with Tridium Niagara is a plus.
