We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Representative to join our team at Progressive Insurance. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with independent agencies in your assigned territory, influencing and advocating for increased utilization of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with agents in your assigned territory to discuss and promote Progressive's products and services
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive profitable growth within your territory
  • Manage the quality of the book of business and overcome objections to drive sales
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agency owners and decision-makers
  • Travel to and meet with all agencies within your assigned territory, with 40% of overnight travel required

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of six years outside business-to-business sales experience or territory management experience
  • OR Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of three years outside business-to-business sales experience or territory management experience
  • Compliance with Progressive's driving standards and policy
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Outside business-to-business sales experience with a demonstrated ability to advocate, influence, and advance results and business outcomes
  • Ability to manage work and weekly schedule independently and efficiently
  • Ability to use formal and informal networks to accomplish goals and review data sources
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with a sales or customer relationship management tool (i.e., Salesforce)

Compensation and Benefits

  • $84,000 - $101,000/year
  • Gainshare bonus up to 30% of eligible earnings based on company performance
