LF Studios is a design and specialty fabrication studio dedicated to telling stories, making people laugh and creating lasting memories for the world's leading attractions, exhibits, branded spaces and IP based products. We specialize in animatronics, static figures and specialty scenic.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Project Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from conception to completion within the creative industries.

Position Overview:

The Production Project Lead is responsible for overseeing, managing, and documenting all aspects of design and production for assigned projects. This role ensures that projects exceed industry standards in terms of product quality, organization, workflow efficiency, and communication. The Production Project Lead will monitor project progress, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.

Objectives of this Role:
  • Build and develop a high-performing project team by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, encompassing schedule development, scope determination, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects adhere to defined scope, schedule, and budget parameters.
  • Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to guarantee project requirements are met.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing daily updates on project status and any changes.
Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain processes for managing project scope throughout the lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing potential risks.
  • Develop and nurture partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors and contractors.
  • Monitor resource allocation to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables.
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to appropriate management channels and escalate issues as required, adhering to the established project work plan.
  • Collaborate directly with Senior Management and clients to ensure deliverables align with the defined scope and budget.
  • Coordinate with other departments to guarantee all aspects of each project are compatible with the project's schedule and budget.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop a comprehensive project plan to monitor and track progress, preparing and submitting all necessary documents for client review, comment, and approval.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.
  • Measure project performance and provide reports to management as needed.
  • Manage relationships with clients and all project stakeholders.
  • Conduct meetings with clients to gather detailed notes and clarify specific project requirements.
  • Track project performance, specifically analyzing the successful completion of short-term and long-term goals.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans for sharing with clients, as well as other departments and staff members.
  • Utilize spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document the project's progress.
  • Continuously develop leadership skills.
