Position Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager to lead our Cost Management division. In this pivotal role within our Real Estate Cost Management team, you will collaborate with clients in the development, manufacturing, retail, health, and technology sectors.

The ideal candidate will possess self-motivation, ambition, and the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively. In this influential role, you will provide leadership and guidance, reinforcing and promoting the core values and vision of Turner & Townsend.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in both onsite and in-office activities.
  • Exhibit strong leadership capabilities; experience in managing a Cost Management team to ensure accountability.
  • Adapt between delivery and management functions.
  • Take a leading role in client interactions, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with other consultants throughout all project phases.
  • Drive process enhancements by identifying and implementing improvements to internal systems.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the market, acting as a brand representative and generating new business opportunities.
  • Foster existing client relationships while pursuing new opportunities.
  • Participate in relevant networking events and promotional activities.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals for new projects.
  • Oversee the financial management of projects.
  • Conduct staff performance evaluations.
  • Establish a clear strategy and objectives for the team.
  • Identify, mentor, and coach talent to help them realize their potential and celebrate their achievements.
  • Promote the growth and development of exceptional individuals.
  • Demonstrate excellence in leadership and service delivery.
  • Serve as a role model, fostering a unified culture that achieves outstanding results for our people, clients, stakeholders, and society.
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity, prioritizing the safety and well-being of others.
Qualifications:
  • Subject Matter Expert in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience in the construction sector with a solid understanding of the cost consultant's role.
  • Able to transition effectively between delivery and management roles.
  • Graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering.
  • RICS or equivalent accreditation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical abilities and advanced skills in spreadsheet applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a drive to add value and create solutions.
  • Ability to cultivate strong working relationships with project teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and being a collaborative team member.
