  • Primary Purpose of Department: To cultivate analytics talent and propel data science research.
  • Primary Purpose of Position: To oversee the Ph.D. in Data Science program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and recruitment for the programs.
  • Manage admissions and monitor student progress within the Ph.D. program.
  • Oversee enrollment processes and academic petitions.
  • Ensure compliance of program policies with university standards.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to enhance student success.

Minimum Education and Experience: A Master's degree in Higher Education Administration or a related field, along with 2 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in academic advising within higher education.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Experience in a cross-disciplinary work environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across various departments and colleges.
  • Knowledge of data science and IT industries.
  • Familiarity with academic information systems and social media.
  • Understanding of university systems such as eGPS and Banner.
