About Us:

Medical Group Alaska is in search of a dedicated Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to perform a range of health assessments for various clients, including federal and defense personnel. The successful candidate will operate from our Tacoma, WA clinic, conducting evaluations that may be carried out in-person, via phone, or through telehealth technologies. This position requires occasional national travel, up to 30%, to deliver physical assessments for veterans and active service members at multiple sites across the country. All travel expenses will be reimbursed, and a per diem will be provided.

Compensation Structure:

The salary for this role ranges from $110,000 to $160,000, depending on experience and educational background, with the opportunity for an annual bonus of up to 30%.

Work Environment and Expectations:

  • Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, with an 8-hour workday (between 7 AM and 6 PM), and may include weekends or evenings based on operational requirements.
  • Comprehensive onboarding and training will be provided, allowing for progressive complexity in encounters as skills and understanding develop.
  • The clinic is fully staffed to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical examinations for a diverse clientele, including federal and defense entities.
  • Draft written medical opinions based on medical records and clinically acceptable evidence.
  • Facilitate telephonic and virtual assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical staff and maintain effective communication with both internal and client teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Current national certification with ANCC or AANP.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in primary care or internal medicine.
  • Unrestricted state medical licensure to perform the full scope of practice in the hiring state.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in conducting occupational or disability medical evaluations.
