About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Officer - Design for Excellence to join our team at PACCAR Winch. As a key member of our Global Powertrain Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our powertrain products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement quality procedures and standards within our North American teams, providing training, support, and oversight to ensure seamless execution.
  • Perform quality checks on deliverables to ensure compliance with PCP Tollgate requirements.
  • Lead Six Sigma projects, defining goals, coordinating, tracking, and reporting on progress.
  • Support engineers with administrative tasks, including reviews, DFMEA sessions, and planning updates.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process optimization and implementing quality improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers, providing technical guidance, resolving issues, and facilitating communication between departments and suppliers.
  • Resolve issues using Six Sigma tools for root cause analysis and product improvements.
  • Report progress and communicate status, changes, risks, and opportunities for improvement to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with teams to achieve timely objectives.
  • Experience in auditing procedures, processes, and tools.
  • Knowledge of quality methods and tools, including DFSS/6 Sigma, brainstorming, problem-solving, FMEA, and DVP.
  • Understanding of structured process development processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver technical presentations and written reports to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate globally across multiple continents and time zones.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and techniques.
Qualifications
  • Experience in automotive or commercial vehicle powertrain analysis.
  • Experience in electrification of automotive.
  • Six Sigma/DFSS training.
  • Thorough working knowledge of engine after-treatment strategies and analysis.
  • Ability to lead projects with significant ambiguity and generate useful analytical results.
