Position Summary

The Global Powertrain Department at PACCAR is responsible for the development of engines, drivelines, and axles, operating across Europe and North America. The Zero Emissions Powertrain division focuses on creating innovative electrified components to enhance truck applications within the global product lineup under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF brands. Our mission is to deliver the finest zero-emissions products for our customers and communities. We are currently seeking a Reliability Engineer to assist the organization in achieving its goals for Reliability, Durability, and Repair & Maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establishing realistic targets for Project Reliability, Durability, and Repair & Maintenance.
  • Assigning Reliability objectives to various subsystems and components.
  • Creating and finalizing a comprehensive Project Reliability Plan.
  • Collaborating with Design Engineers to implement Reliability Engineering Design for Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Tracking and reporting on the Reliability status and progress of projects.
  • Assessing and forecasting Reliability throughout the project lifecycle, including recommending corrective actions.
  • Identifying and executing continuous improvement initiatives for Reliability Engineering processes.

Educational Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Training in Six Sigma DFSS or Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive or commercial vehicle systems.

Preferred:

  • Certification in Six Sigma DFSS or Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Familiarity with DFSS tools such as DFMEA, PT40, TP40, RVP, FTA, Weibull Analysis, Crow-AMSAA MTBF, etc.
  • Knowledge of ISO26262 and ASPICE standards.
  • Experience in agile work settings.
  • Background in structured product development processes.
