We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to oversee quality assurance activities for both new and existing printed circuit board products. This role encompasses comprehensive product and process quality oversight, establishing and maintaining quality assurance and control protocols, addressing quality challenges, enhancing product and process efficiency, managing risks, and ensuring that production output aligns with both Ericsson and customer quality benchmarks.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Managing production performance through data collection, analysis, evaluation, modification, and implementation of production processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Collaborating with Product and Process Engineering to facilitate the launch of new products, ensuring that the yield of printed circuit boards (PCB) meets key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Setting up quality and control point verifications to promote continuous process enhancements for the production of Radios and Basebands, along with improvements in test station yields.
- Leading root cause analysis for quality defects and failures in final assembly products across both manual and automated fault analysis areas for designated product lines.
- Coordinating process flow and deploying DFMEA/PFMEA while owning the control plan for production quality verification.
- Working to enhance the productivity and quality of PCB and Mechanical Assembly operations.
- Establishing and enforcing quality acceptance criteria for the onboarding of new production equipment and repair tasks in troubleshooting environments.
- Preparing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) documentation for design and Product Quality Leadership teams for new product introductions.
- Troubleshooting process defects and driving resolutions.
- Engaging in ongoing and new tooling, materials, or equipment qualification processes.
- Participating in ongoing and new process improvement initiatives, whether cost, time, or quality-driven, and making recommendations based on findings while driving implementation efforts.
- Collaborating with product design and development teams to ensure compatibility of processes and designs with the Design for Test (DFT) philosophy.
- Conducting monthly process audits with effective enforcement of process controls and timely escalation of nonconformance issues.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
- Approximately 3 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge and experience with SMA processes.
- Expertise in root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with manufacturing quality verification.
- A willingness to learn about Statistical Process Control, Gage R&R verification, Poka Yoke, and 8D problem-solving tools.
- Experience in project management.
- A solid foundation in quality management methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, SPC, FMEA, etc.).
- The ability to present data analytics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Skills in statistical analysis and data management.
- Leadership capabilities and a team-oriented mindset.
- A commitment to promoting, understanding, and adhering to all safety, environmental, and quality standards without deviation.
- PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification.
