Job Overview

Reports to: Assistant QA Manager

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) activities primarily on the production floor.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be comfortable working in a cold environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensure that product quality adheres to established standards, including weight, temperature, appearance, label accuracy, and ambient conditions.
  2. Oversee manufacturing and storage conditions to maintain quality.
  3. Timely completion of daily reporting requirements.
  4. Implement and document monitoring procedures and corrective actions as required by HACCP or Food Safety and Quality Plans.
  5. Engage professionally with Operations and USDA representatives.
  6. Adhere to and enforce all Food Safety & Quality protocols, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Sanitation SOPs.
  7. Manage the holding of raw materials or finished products when necessary.
  8. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Assistant QA Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency.
  • Fundamental computer skills.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • Ability to stand in cold conditions (below 45°F) for extended periods.
  • Bilingual skills are advantageous.

Compensation: $16.25 per hour, based on experience.
