About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ports and Marine Engineer to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our Ports and Maritime Team, you will be responsible for performing civil/structural design for marine and upland components, preparing technical written communications, and supporting managers in the creation of plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.

Your Responsibilities
  • Perform design calculations in support of broader engineering activities
  • Work with cross-functional teams in executing project work
  • Assist with work plan preparation and coordination of site work and code compliance
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 3-5 years of relevant post-education experience
  • Familiarity with marine, port, and civil/structural engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to project work-related issues
  • Familiar with relevant marine, port, and coastal construction codes, regulations, and compliance practices
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineer in Training Certification
  • Prior design experience
  • A member of and/or actively participate in local professional practice organizations
