Job Title: Marine Engine Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Engine Technician to join our team at MSHS&PPG. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing marine engines, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to determine unit condition and identify deficiencies.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and verify performance through sea trials and adjustments.
  • Contain costs by utilizing warranty and evaluating service and parts options.
  • Maintain accurate records of engine and vessel maintenance, including service and repair documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in servicing, repairing, and overhauling MTU, Volvo Penta, or Detroit Diesel engines.
  • Gas and diesel inboard and outboard experience is a plus.
  • Ability to use a computer for communication and documentation.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical schooling is a plus.

  • Competitive salary: $50.00 per hour, with an additional $1.50 per hour for field work.
