Position Overview:

KPFF Consulting Engineers is on the lookout for an experienced Structural Engineer to become a key player in our Special Projects Group. This position is centered around engaging with diverse waterfront and industrial infrastructure initiatives.

As an integral member of our team, you will leverage your extensive knowledge in waterfront infrastructure while broadening your expertise in design, project oversight, and client engagement.

We foster a collaborative atmosphere that encourages professional growth and the development of consulting skills in the engineering field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in structural design assignments with a focus on waterfront and industrial projects
  • Develop and apply innovative engineering solutions for a range of initiatives, including port infrastructure and marine engineering
  • Oversee project activities, schedules, and resource allocation effectively
  • Guide and mentor junior team members to support their career advancement
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering tailored engineering solutions
Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of experience in structural design
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural design
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering preferred, with a structural emphasis
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Familiarity with relevant design codes and engineering software
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Enthusiasm for enhancing design and project management capabilities
Work Environment:

This role primarily involves office-based tasks, with occasional requirements for field inspections.

Some physical activity may include lifting light objects and navigating project sites.

Travel for project-related meetings may also be necessary.
