About the Role

AECOM is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in the West Coast region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking design activities on maritime projects, including container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports, and harbors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake design activities on maritime projects, including container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports, and harbors.
  • Civil design for terminals across the United States.
  • Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings.
  • Independently prepare engineering-related calculations and develop civil technical specifications, plans, and details.
  • Use computer software as a tool for solving engineering problems.
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule.
  • Provide guidance to entry-level engineers.
  • Independently perform all tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
Requirements
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
    • Professional Engineer Registration with the ability to attain a Washington State Professional Engineer Registration within 6 months.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's Degree plus 5 years of related experience.
    • Experience with computer-aided design (AutoCAD).
    • Experience with ArcGIS.
    • Preferred experience with Ports and Marine.
    • Experience in the design of marine terminals, naval facilities, and port facilities.
