Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise a team of pastry cooks, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve pastry operations, including inventory management and ordering.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef to create menus and ensure that all pastry products meet the highest quality standards.
  • Recruit, train, and develop pastry staff, providing feedback and coaching to ensure they meet the needs of our guests.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, providing support and assistance to colleagues as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a pastry management position or equivalent in a fine dining restaurant.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Current Food Handler's license or ability to obtain within a month of hire.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
