About the Role

KIPP Texas Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Special Education ARD Facilitator to join our team. As a key member of our special education department, you will play a critical role in ensuring our students with disabilities receive the support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, ensuring timely notification of parents and distribution of ARD calendars to committee members.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state timelines for ARD Committee meetings, including requests for additional assessments and required timelines.
  • Prepare and submit ARD paperwork by compliance due dates, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Maintain communication between special and general education personnel, ensuring seamless collaboration and coordination.
  • Complete required documentation and reports, including transportation forms, extended service year (ESY) forms, and October snapshot reports.
  • Develop and maintain systematic communication between assessment personnel and related service providers.
  • Assist campus administrators in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local policies related to students with disabilities.
  • Attend special education department staff meetings and relevant staff development opportunities.
  • Maintain positive relationships with school staff, parents, and community members.
