About the Role

The Educational Diagnostician plays a critical role in ensuring the success of students with special needs at IDEA Public Schools. This position requires a strong understanding of assessment, eligibility, and interventions for students with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support special education teachers in developing IEP goals and ensuring compliance with ARD paperwork.
  • Collaborate with Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and other related service providers to ensure timely completion of ARD paperwork.
  • Establish and execute Critical Student Instruction groups with fidelity at campuses.
  • Provide support to 504 campus coordinators with manifestation determinations, 504 meeting requirements, and eligibility determinations.
  • Conduct dyslexia evaluations for 504 students and guide campuses in tracking and documenting academic and behavioral interventions.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary evaluations for students referred for eligibility categories and adhere to up-to-date evaluation tools and standards.
  • Help campuses conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments and ensure the use of a problem-solving model for students in Tiers II and III.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Special Education or Education from an accredited college or university.
  • Texas Educational Diagnostician Certificate is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a campus Educational Diagnostician is preferred.

IDEA Public Schools offers a competitive salary range of $78,996 to $92,030, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
