Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostician Specialist to join our team at Soliant Education. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in educational assessment and a passion for supporting the educational development and success of students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Evaluation
    • Conduct comprehensive educational assessments to identify students' learning needs and disabilities.
    • Utilize a variety of assessment tools and techniques to evaluate academic skills, cognitive abilities, and emotional/behavioral functioning.
    • Interpret evaluation results and prepare detailed, accurate reports.
  • ARD Meetings
    • Lead and participate in ARD meetings to develop, review, and revise Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
    • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations during the ARD process.
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to create effective educational plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaboration and Consultation
    • Work closely with school staff, including teachers, counselors, and administrators, to support the implementation of IEPs and appropriate instructional strategies.
    • Provide professional development and training to staff on assessment processes, special education procedures, and best practices.
    • Act as a liaison between the school, parents, and external agencies to coordinate services and resources for students.
  • Documentation and Compliance
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all evaluations, meetings, and communications.
    • Ensure that all documentation meets district, state, and federal guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Educational Diagnostician, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician certification.
  • Experience in conducting educational assessments and evaluations.
  • In-depth knowledge of ARD/IEP processes and special education laws.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple responsibilities.
