Job Summary

KIPP Texas Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Special Education ARD Facilitator to join our team. As a key member of our special education department, you will play a critical role in ensuring our students with disabilities receive the support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and Coordinate ARD Meetings: Schedule, or assist in scheduling, Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and notify parents of the ARD meeting, including distributing the ARD calendar to appropriate ARD Committee members in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure Compliance with Federal and State Timelines: Ensure that federal/state timelines are met with respect to functions of ARD Committee meetings, including requests for additional assessments and required timelines set by the ARD Committee.
  • Manage ARD Paperwork and Documentation: Write and monitor ARD paperwork and submit ARD paperwork by the compliance due date. Complete required documentation and reports required by the special education department by due dates.
  • Maintain Communication and Collaboration: Maintain systematic communication between special and general education personnel with respect to ARD meetings and decisions, IEPs, student accommodations, and instructional concerns and progress.
  • Assist with ARD Supplements and Data Collection: Complete appropriate ARD supplements and collect appropriate data, including ESY regression, individual educational plan (IEP), behavior improvement plan (BIP), etc.
  • Support Campus Administrators: Assist campus administrators in maintaining compliance with all federal, state and local policy as it applies to students with disabilities.
  • Maintain Documentation and Attend Meetings: Maintain thorough documentation regarding any significant concerns with ARD committee procedures and attend special education department staff meetings and relevant staff development.
  • Build Positive Relationships: Maintain positive relationships with school staff, parents, and community members.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a team. You will also need to be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
