The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in coding within a healthcare setting, showcasing exceptional communication abilities. A deep understanding of coding processes is essential, along with the capability to lead a team effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the coding department's standard operating procedures are thoroughly documented, regularly updated, and effectively communicated to all staff members.
  • Oversee daily Professional Coding Operations, ensuring that coding production meets accuracy and industry standards.
  • Facilitate and participate in productive meetings regarding departmental matters, including serving as a member of the Compliance Committee and acting as a liaison between the coding department and specialty groups.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.

Compensation:
Level II: $101,114 - $151,672 annually. This position is salaried and exempt.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 4 years of equivalent professional experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 10 years of leadership experience in Professional Multi-specialty Coding.
  • Must hold and maintain Certified Professional Coder credentials through AAPC.
  • Expertise in ICD-10 and CPT coding principles and guidelines.
  • Ability to stay updated on new trends and best practices, integrating them into daily operations.
  • Proficient in Epic Resolute - Charge Review and Charge Capture.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
  • Effective communication with patients, staff, and providers.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
