Position Summary
This role entails overseeing the Audit and Accounting Division, which, alongside the Tax Division and the Business Solutions Division, forms a crucial part of the Revenue Division.
The Audit and Accounting Division encompasses various sections including audit, budget and liens, accounting, and transient lodging tax/enhanced service district.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the development, execution, and assessment of processes, systems, and objectives related to the Audit and Accounting Division.
- Organize and supervise staff activities to meet established goals and performance targets.
- Analyze relevant statutes, regulations, and policies to assess their impact on operations.
- Establish performance standards and personal development goals for team members.
- Collaborate with other Revenue Division teams to formulate vision, objectives, and strategies for effective revenue program administration.
- Work with management and staff to propose modifications and improvements to relevant codes, regulations, and policies as necessary.
- Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local laws and policies.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications for this position include:
- Experience in operational and strategic planning, public administration, and program evaluation relevant to revenue collection.
- Proficiency in analyzing complex financial data and making informed recommendations in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively in public forums.
- Ability to foster effective working relationships with tact and diplomacy.
- Experience managing a diverse workforce and promoting an equitable workplace.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, public administration, or a related field, along with five years of progressively responsible experience in program management, including three years in a supervisory capacity.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification as a Public Accountant or similar credentials is preferred but not required.
