Position Summary:
As a vital member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for executing essential maintenance and repair tasks throughout the property. Your primary focus will be on preventive maintenance in guest accommodations, communal areas, and service zones as assigned. You will be allocated specific responsibilities based on your skills, experience, and the operational needs of the resort. Accurate documentation of your assigned tasks is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct routine preventive maintenance (PM) tasks across the property, which includes guest rooms, outdoor spaces, public areas, and conference facilities. This encompasses minor repairs and painting duties. You will perform basic maintenance and repairs as directed, considering your capabilities and training. Unresolved issues should be escalated to senior engineers or management to ensure guest satisfaction.
  2. Address guest complaints within your authority; otherwise, escalate the issue to management. Report any unusual occurrences, missing items, or suspected theft to your supervisor and/or Security. Respond to service requests from guests and internal teams as assigned.
  3. Utilize computer systems to receive work orders and document completed tasks. Maintain timely and precise records.
  4. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and ensure all equipment used is in good condition. Keep tools organized and well-maintained.
  5. Inspect, maintain, repair, and replace various components throughout the property, including machinery, drains, light bulbs, and filters.
  6. Wear appropriate non-slip, oil-resistant footwear. Adhere to all safety protocols and report potential safety hazards to management. Comply with OSHA regulations regarding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and participate in training on its proper use and care.
  7. Consistently report to work as scheduled, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in emergency situations to ensure operational support areas are effectively managed for excellent customer service.
  2. Collaborate with fellow engineers on maintenance and repair tasks as needed.
  3. Identify necessary parts, supplies, tools, and materials to minimize downtime.
  4. Inform management of significant system or building issues and unexpected maintenance requirements.
Qualifications:

Required Experience and Skills:
  1. Basic knowledge of technical fields such as carpentry, painting, and electrical work.
  2. Preferred six months of related experience.
  3. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a positive, professional demeanor.
  4. Basic math skills for performing calculations.
  5. Familiarity with computer systems used in the property.
  6. Completion of required training as scheduled.
  7. Ability to follow detailed instructions and address problems with concrete variables.
  8. Capability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence.
  9. Flexibility to work varying schedules, including holidays and weekends, as needed by the resort.
  10. Knowledge of various tools and equipment used in hotel maintenance.
  11. Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
