Director of Graduate Education and Research

The National Science Foundation is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as the Division Director of the Division of Graduate Education. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong understanding of graduate education and research, as well as excellent management and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Division of Graduate Education in developing and implementing programs that support graduate education and research in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
- Develop and manage budgets, allocate resources, and oversee the evaluation of proposals and recommendations for awards and declinations.
- Represent the National Science Foundation to external groups, including universities, research institutions, and industry partners.
- Foster and sustain public and private partnerships to advance the mission and vision of the National Science Foundation.
- Supervise and provide leadership and guidance to senior executive-level staff, program officers, and administrative and support personnel.
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a STEM field or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in graduate education and research, with a strong track record of leadership and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Experience in program management and budget development.
- Knowledge of education policy issues at the Federal and/or state level.
- Experience in building and sustaining partnerships with external organizations.
- Strong understanding of graduate education and research in STEM fields.
