Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and register guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience
  • Provide information about the hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities, ensuring guests have a clear understanding of their options
  • Respond to guest complaints in a timely and professional manner, resolving issues to the guest's satisfaction
  • Select and block rooms for arriving guests, book same-day reservations, and pre-register guests as required
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully-furnished to accommodate guests' needs
  • Receive payment from and check out hotel guests, ensuring accurate and efficient processing
  • Work closely with guest services agents to coordinate the smooth and efficient handling of guest luggage at both check-in and check-out
  • Follow baggage tagging procedures and ski storage procedures, ensuring guest belongings are secure and easily accessible
  • Deliver messages, packages, or other items to guest rooms or other areas of the hotel, expediting delivery and ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the Lobby and Luggage storeroom, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for guests
  • Create unique baskets or special amenities for special guests, enhancing their experience and building loyalty
  • Accept reservations, changes, and cancellations, ensuring accurate and efficient processing
  • Recommend restaurants and activities to guests, providing personalized recommendations and enhancing their experience
  • Make change, post charges, reconcile daily work, and make deposits, ensuring accurate and efficient financial processing
  • Communicate with guests and coworkers in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner, building strong relationships and ensuring a positive work environment
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or high school equivalent preferred
  • 1 year of customer/guest experience preferred
Work Environment and Physical Demands

The Front Desk Agent will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, requiring the ability to be on their feet, kneel, and bend for extended periods. The role may also require working in adverse conditions, such as extreme temperatures or inclement weather, and may involve lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds individually or with assistance.
