Job Overview

Snaphunt is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to participate in a research study focused on understanding the risks associated with biology-related capabilities in search and language models. As a Research Study Investigator, you will play a critical role in helping us better comprehend the frontiers of these tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interact with a new AI chatbot during the research study, engaging in a task that is estimated to take six hours in total.
  • Participate in the introduction and delivery of instructions for the first hour, followed by five hours of engaging with the chatbot.
  • Be provided with refreshments during the duration of the task.
  • Select weekdays or weekends for the task, depending on your availability.

Requirements

  • English proficiency to effectively liaise with stakeholders in the region.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or US registered refugee.
  • Be able to commute to the specified on-site location.
  • Hold a Ph.D. in the field of biology in genetics, virology, and/or microbiology, with a Ph.D. degree certificate to be provided.
  • Have at least one year of hands-on professional experience in the wet lab, including pipetting, growing cell cultures, running gels, etc.
  • Have at least 1 year of biosecurity experience, including national security or US Department of Defense settings, or government contractors on biosecurity work.
  • Have successfully passed a background check.
