About the Role

Georgetown University in Qatar is seeking a highly skilled Survey Researcher to join our Center for Security and Emerging Technology. As a key member of our Data Science team, you will be responsible for leading survey design and execution, collaborating with analysts and researchers, and producing high-quality data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute surveys and human-subjects research projects, including questionnaire design, sampling methodology, and data analysis.
  • Contribute to CSET publications, including writing and editing reports, briefs, and other materials.
  • Support CSET's lines of research through survey and human-subjects research projects, including evaluating the appropriateness and feasibility of surveys and/or interviews.
  • Collaborate with the Data Science team to identify data requirements, determine appropriate methods, and effectively leverage CSET data resources.
  • Communicate data-driven findings to a range of audiences, including contributing to briefings, events, and reports.
  • Monitor trends and developments in AI, ML, biotechnology, and national security policy, contributing to CSET's organizational development.
  • Support and mentor colleagues, upholding CSET's mission, values, and culture.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 2+ years of quantitative or statistical analysis experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant research experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with survey design and online and/or in-person survey distribution.
  • Proficiency with office productivity tools like Google Docs/Sheets and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, matrixed, and multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Effective communication and ability to convey complex and technical topics to a general audience.
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, intellectually curious, and self-driven.
  • Alignment with CSET's mission, values, and culture.
Work Mode Designation

This is a full-time position.

Pay Range

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position is $66,720.23.
