In an increasingly connected world, massive amounts of structured and unstructured data open new opportunities. As a Data Engineer at Booz Allen, you will help turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. You will support the design and infrastructure development for AI research and pilot projects ranging from enterprise-scale production state-of-the-art AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Work with customers and end-users to understand their mission, architecture, and security requirements.
- Build a design that will meet their evolving needs, with a focus on the customer's goals.
- Recommend tools and capabilities based on your research of the environment and new technology.
- Craft an architecture that works smoothly with existing infrastructure without compromising security.
- Identify new opportunities to build platform-based solutions to help your customers meet their toughest challenges.
- 3+ years of experience with AI, data science, ML engineering, data research, software engineering, or data analytics.
- Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure, and cloud engineering practices and programming languages, including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
- Experience working with a relational database management system (RDBMS).
- Experience with relational or non-relational database technologies.
- Experience with data modeling techniques and creating solutions in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Experience with scripting languages, including Python and Bash or PowerShell.
- Experience leading the development of solutions to complex programs.
- Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience building ETL workflows for reporting and analytics, and designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining data applications.
- Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, forward-leaning technology, including cloud automation platforms, and enterprise data, open-source tech stacks, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with Agile development techniques and ceremonies.
- Experience with natural language processing, text mining, or ML techniques.
