This position plays a crucial role in collaborating with departmental managers and organizational leaders to assess, evaluate, and analyze risks while providing actionable solutions to enhance our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program. You will assist in designing and executing comprehensive risk assessments to identify critical risks and opportunities within our operational framework. Engaging with various stakeholders, you will lead multiple projects focused on enterprise risk.

Educational Requirements

Required - A Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business administration, or a related discipline.

Experience Requirements

Required - A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare compliance, operations, regulatory compliance, risk management, auditing, law, or a similar field.

Preferred - An additional 2 years of experience in healthcare corporate compliance, project management, or risk management.

Certifications

Preferred - Certifications such as Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM), Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or other relevant certifications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Proficient in utilizing computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Analytical abilities to comprehend complex documents, gather pertinent information, and identify underlying issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at all organizational levels.
  • Fundamental understanding of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) concepts, applicable laws, regulations, compliance, and effective risk management techniques.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel regionally to various locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of corporate strategies aimed at enhancing risk reporting and analysis through data and technology.
  • Ensure the quality of data input within risk management systems to improve reporting tools, including risk reporting mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and organizations.
  • Collect and analyze risk-related data from both internal and external sources.
  • Assist business units in formulating action plans to address any elevated risks identified through ERM assessments and to enhance internal controls.
  • Identify and resolve project-related challenges, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Support the maintenance of an effective enterprise risk management program by ensuring compliance with departmental standards in performance, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.
