Position Overview:
This role will be filled as a Financial Analyst II, III, or Lead, based on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and executing essential financial and operational functions while engaging in reporting processes. This position supports Entergy's Finance division by aiding in budgeting, reporting, and controls, as well as identifying critical issues that may affect profitability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops financial models or analyses as required and articulates the findings.
2. Identifies and implements necessary updates to models and associated systems, ensuring the accuracy of model outputs.
3. Proposes and executes process enhancements to benefit the broader team.
4. Clearly communicates issues to colleagues and internal/external stakeholders.
5. Collaborates with various departments to gather insights regarding Entergy's operations and transactions.
6. Engages with subject matter experts across the organization to gain a deeper understanding of the risks associated with specific projects and investments.
7. Works alongside business units to evaluate industry trends, commodity pricing, regulatory strategies, and to prepare financial comparative data for informed decision-making.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred:
MBA.

Experience:
Financial Analyst II: 2-4 years of relevant experience in banking, finance, project development, or related fields.
Financial Analyst III: 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Financial Analyst Lead: 5+ years of relevant experience.

Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills to identify problems and develop solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of financial theory and valuation.
- Capability to comprehend and resolve complex financial transactions.
- Effective prioritization and management of multiple time-sensitive projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Certifications:
Preferred:
CPA, CFA, PE, or similar certifications.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
As a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available for additional hours, work in various locations, and perform extra duties during emergencies or other situations as deemed necessary by the company. Exempt employees may not receive overtime pay for such duties.

Authorization to work in the United States is a prerequisite for employment in this position. Entergy will not sponsor candidates for work visas for this role.
