Key Responsibilities- Lead Risk Assessments: Participate in and lead risk assessments to identify risks and opportunities designed to improve business processes and information systems across the company.
- Internal Audits: Perform and lead internal audits by effectively assessing the risk area, determining the extent of testing, conducting thorough fieldwork, and preparing work papers in accordance with departmental and IIA standards.
- Data Analytics: Collaborate with audit teams to identify data analytic opportunities and design, develop, and deliver data analytics solutions in support of audit engagements.
- Communication: Discuss audit findings with operating personnel to verify facts and obtain background information not available in the documentation examined. Present value-added suggestions for resolution of audit findings.
- Reporting: Prepare formal written reports, expressing opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of the system and the efficiency with which activities are carried out, including findings and recommendations of corrective actions for deficiencies.
- SOX Controls: Perform testing of SOX controls to assess internal controls over financial reporting and other financial aspects of the company.
- Control Consulting: Provide control consulting for business processes and supporting systems.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial processes is required. OR in lieu of a degree, 9+ years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial processes is required.
- Knowledge and Skills: Experience with IIA audit standards and best practices, ERM, SOX, COSO, CoBit, or other leading control frameworks. Required: CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, or other relevant professional designation.
