Overview

This role is situated within the Superfund & Emergency Management Division, specifically in the Operations Management Branch, focusing on Data and Budget Management.

Position Details

This is an office-based role, requiring regular attendance at the designated duty station.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will:
  • Perform routine quality control assessments of budget planning and execution data, providing recommendations for improvements as necessary.
  • Develop annual and multi-year financial plans for assigned units, including detailed budget estimates and justifications, while ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
  • Oversee the implementation of financial plans, monitoring various funding sources and types.
  • Deliver presentations and training on the legal and regulatory frameworks governing fund utilization for both programmatic and administrative functions.

This position is classified as Moderate Risk and necessitates a background investigation. A background check must be completed prior to receiving an official employment offer.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level, which includes managing budget execution for projects or programs, compiling financial reports for senior management, or presenting budget strategies to stakeholders.
