Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Senior Financial Analysis Specialist will report directly to the Executive Director of Financial & Capital Planning, acting as a key resource for the Finance Department and upper management, including the CFO and various Vice Presidents. This role focuses on enterprise-wide revenue reporting and strategic initiative evaluation. The specialist will lead the creation of financial data analytics and reporting for both existing operations and new partnerships, establishing a standardized toolkit for assessing financial performance.

Additionally, the Senior Financial Analysis Specialist will autonomously manage relationships and projects with subject matter experts across the organization and potential business partners, including budget and accounting, strategic planning, and external consultants, to enhance decision-making and management planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships within the organization to facilitate data collection and leverage analytical insights for improved financial outcomes.
  • Work with the Finance Department and other organizational units to define, refine, and implement comprehensive reporting tools.
  • Oversee relationships between UCM Finance and various operating units, ensuring effective funds flow monitoring and allocation.
  • Handle data and analytical requests from senior executives across multiple departments and external partnerships.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Strategic Planning teams to identify and prioritize high-value business opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field, with a minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Expertise in financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and performance measurement for healthcare sectors.
  • Proficient in healthcare financial data and industry business intelligence tools, applying them to financial planning and reporting.
  • Comfortable presenting to and facilitating discussions with senior leadership.
  • Adept at navigating a dynamic, matrixed environment with tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skills throughout the financial project lifecycle, including effective communication and visualization of analytical findings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare analysis.
  • Pro forma development for revenue and cost modeling.
  • Familiarity with healthcare operations and reimbursement methodologies.
  • Ability to collaborate with operational leaders to gather necessary data for analysis.
