Job Overview:

The Financial Analyst, FP&A plays a crucial role in evaluating variances against projections and updating forecasts. This position involves extensive management and external reporting, as well as monitoring Ventas's overall capital expenditures and future financial commitments. The analyst will collaborate with various departments across the organization, from Investments to Asset Management, delivering consolidated financial insights to leadership for informed strategic decision-making. Additionally, this role will support Asset Management teams on significant strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of earnings reports, including consolidated NOI growth and Q&A for earnings presentations, Monthly Business Reviews, and investor relations inquiries.
  • Analyze capital expenditure outcomes on a monthly and quarterly basis as part of the financial review and earnings processes, consolidating and reporting any forecast adjustments for upcoming capital commitments.
  • Engage with Asset Management and Investments teams regarding their capital budgets and forecasts, tracking actual expenditures against planned budgets, and helping management identify key risks and opportunities to adhere to established guidelines.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Accounting, Construction & Development, and IT, to gather and prepare information for reporting and analytical purposes.
  • Provide comprehensive analytical support to Asset Management teams and senior management on strategic initiatives and ad hoc requests as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant financial analysis or accounting experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related business discipline.
  • GPA must be included on the resume.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to assess data trends, draw insights, and create clear, presentable reports for senior management.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity.
  • Effective self-management skills within a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines in a dynamic work setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
