Job Summary:

As a Pharmacist In-Patient, PRN at the University Medical Center of El Paso, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of inpatient pharmacy operations and the ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the appropriateness of physician medication orders and provide accurate and timely information to healthcare teams.
  • Prepare and dispense medications to patients, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare professionals on medication use and management.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.

Requirements:

  • Current Pharmacy license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • 12 hours of ACPE-approved continuing education per year.
