The pharmacist will also engage in tasks outlined in the compounding and dispensing protocols, catering to the diverse needs of patients across various age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify physician medication orders for appropriateness.
- Dispense medications accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide drug information and guidance to healthcare professionals.
- Participate in compounding and dispensing activities as required.
- Address the unique pharmaceutical needs of patients of different ages.
Essential Qualifications:
1. Communication Skills: Must possess strong verbal and written communication abilities.
2. Pharmacy Operations Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of inpatient pharmacy practices.
3. Experience: No prior experience is necessary for this position.
4. Licensing: A valid Pharmacy license in Texas is required, or the ability to obtain one within six months for recent graduates.
5. Education: Must have graduated from an accredited School of Pharmacy and complete 12 hours of ACPE approved continuing education annually.
