Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications to patients in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assess the appropriateness of physician medication orders, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Provide accurate and relevant drug information to healthcare professionals, including pharmacists, physicians, and nurses.
- Coordinate and perform functions detailed in compounding and dispensing procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Provide patient care to individuals of varying ages, taking into account their unique needs and requirements.
Requirements:
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of all phases of inpatient pharmacy operations, including medication management, inventory control, and quality assurance.
- Current Pharmacy license in Texas, or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months if recent Pharmacy graduate.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
