Job Summary
The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Student Technician to join our team in the Office of Information Technology Support Center. As a Student Technician, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to students, staff, and faculty members, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist users with technical troubleshooting over the phone, chat, or in person, providing timely and effective solutions to their technical issues.
- Log interactions through our ticketing system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all support requests.
- Research and implement solutions using available resources, such as the OIT Knowledge Base, to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Direct and transfer calls coming from internal and external guests as Campus Operator, providing exceptional customer service and support.
Requirements
- Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno.
- Candidate must demonstrate the ability to assist customers with common and uncommon technology-related issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidate has customer service experience, preferably in an information technology setting.
- Candidate has familiarity with software, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, and Apple OSX/IOS.
