Patient Resources Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated Patient Resources Coordinator to join our team at CHAS Health. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in improving the overall health of our communities by enrolling and educating patients about our services and community resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Work with a diverse patient population, including insured and uninsured individuals, to determine eligibility for various health insurance, assistance programs, and community resources.
- Enroll patients in Medicaid, CHIP, Qualified Health plans, and Qualified Dental plans through state insurance marketplaces.
- Review dental treatment plans, advise patients on insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs, and submit prior authorization for dental treatment when required.
- Provide training for staff on current insurance, managed care, and resource-related issues.
- Track enrollments, managed care conversions, and other activities on a regular basis.
- HS diploma or equivalent preferred; health industry experience strongly preferred.
- Face-to-face customer/patient service experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer and typing skills required.
- Washington Healthplanfinder navigator certification or Your Health Idaho Enrollment Counselor certification required within 90 days of hire.
The employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to move around the facility, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Benefits and Salary:This position offers a competitive salary of $28.37 per hour and an AMAZING benefits package, which includes Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO) – up to 6 weeks of PTO per year, Childcare Stipend – contribution of $5,000 per year to the employee's dependent care spending account, Loan Reimbursement – reimbursement for student loan payments up to $5,250 per year, and Retirement Plans – organization matches the employee's contribution, up to 6% of gross wages.
Above benefits are dependent upon eligibility criteria. Pay Range: $23.75 - $33.86 USD hourly.
